Project Co-ordinator Starts for NHS Technology Adoption Hub
TrusTECH is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Sarno, Project Co-ordinator, who will support operations of the first NHS Technology Adoption Hub (managed by
TrusTECH).
Through the Technology Adoption Hub, The National Innovation Centre* (NIC) aims to analyse issues in adopting new technologies, and develop practical solutions to overcome the problems identified. Based in Manchester, this Hub will pilot the initiative on behalf of the National Innovation Centre and held its first Steering Group meeting on
25 January 2007.

- Changes in care locations or providers
- A faster and deeper realisation of benefits to the NHS and its patients from proven products
Emma previously worked at the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) co-ordinating service improvement projects in primary mental health care and commissioning; she will bring to the position her experience and enthusiasm for facilitating change in the NHS to benefit patient outcomes.
Recruitment for a Chief Executive, to lead the Technology Adoption Hub and a Link Manager, to work with the Chief Executive, NIC and board to plan and manage operations of the Hub, is nearly complete.
Working in synergy with other parts of the innovation NHS network, the Adoption Hub will support the NIC’s aim to speed up the development and adoption of technological innovations.
