Needlesmart Ltd was introduced to TRUSTECH by MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency.
Needlesmart has developed an electronic device which safely disposes of needles.
The product aims to eliminate the majority of post procedure needlestick injuries. By reducing the number of needlestick injuries, sharps bins in use and number and frequency of sharps bins incinerated, Needlesmart claims to achieve a cost saving and reduction in CO2 emissions.
Needlesmart Ltd was looking for initial information to help establish the correct market for their product and realise their competitive advantage.
TRUSTECH carried out a customised piece of market research to provide Needlesmart with a preliminary indication of the market, surveying appropriate user contacts to evaluate the product’s use, and carrying out research into sharps regulation and disposal.
TRUSTECH’s position within the NHS made it easier to identify and access the most appropriate expert opinions direct from NHS clinicians.
“The quality of the report was, in my opinion, outstanding and extremely good value for money.
“It provided extremely valuable and relevant information to our client. It also provided an excellent insight into the requirements of healthcare professionals withing the NHS.” – David Blower, MIDAS.
