2008 BIONOW Awards - Healthcare Project of the Year -Sponsored by TrusTECH
The Northwest Healthcare Project of the Year will be awarded to a project that satisfies the following conditions:
• The healthcare project must focus on products relating primarily to diagnostics, devices and other technologies used in the clinical setting that apply biological and/or other key scientific knowledge to improve healthcare, (not including the provision of general healthcare services).
• The project must have been invented/developed/implemented by a company, research group (including universities and NHS) or individual within the NW of England (as defined by Regional Development Agency Boundaries).
• The intellectual property of the activity, process or technology forming the core of the project must be protected, where appropriate.
• If not already commercialised the project must demonstrate, that it has the potential to be commercialised.
• The project must be economically viable and must be capable of meeting appropriate regulatory requirements for commercial manufacture/clinical application .
