Linda Magee Retires from TrusTECH Board
Dr Linda Magee, North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA) Biotechnology Sector Head/Head of Bionow®, is stepping down from the TrusTECH board to focus on national biotechnology commitments.
Linda has been part of the TrusTECH board since the innovation hub was established in 2001. Over the past six years, she has seen TrusTECH grow from around three members of staff to over a dozen. Linda’s advice and guidance has been fundamental to the development and maturity of TrusTECH, including the establishment of the NHS intellectual property (IP) service, and the extension of its operations to provide ACTNoW® (a clinical trial resource).
More recently, Linda has overseen the establishment of the new Medilink North West franchise (in collaboration with TrusTECH), to support healthcare companies and further develop the North West’s Bionow cluster.
Don Hammond, TrusTECH Chairman, said: “TrusTECH would like to thank Linda for her involvement, and we look forward to continuing to working closely with the NWDA and Bionow in the future.” “Linda’s commitment to supporting the biotech sector in the North West, and helping TrusTECH to establish its place, is nationally and internationally renowned. She has championed closer links between the NHS, universities and the biotech sector,” added Keith Chantler, TrusTECH Executive Director.
