North West NHS Innovation Awards 2008 Winners!

NHS Staff from Trusts across the North West have won top accolades and prize money totalling £8000 at the seventh annual North West NHS Innovation Awards.

They received praise from top NHS professionals at a glitzy ceremony at the Last Drop Village Hotel in Bolton.

Dr Richard Deed, Innovation Unit Manager of TrusTECH stated - "We know that we have some of the UK's best iinnovators here in the region and these awards recognise and reward the NHS staff in the North West that are producing innovations that ultimately benefit patients."

Each winner picked up a cheque of £1000 on behalf of their Trust with the winner of the NHS North West sponsored awards of Best Team and Best Innovation Contributing to World Class Healthcare picking up a further £2000 for their respective Trusts.

More than 100 entries, across 6 categories, were submitted for consideration by a judging panel of 16 experts from within the NHS, professional media and specialist commercial companies and the top three from each category were iinvited to attend the awards ceremony held on Tuesday 28 October.
