Event: The Future of Healthcare
- Date: 19th April 2018, 1600 -1900
- Location: Citylabs, Manchester, M13 9NQ
The Business Growth Hub are looking for clinicians, academics and SMEs with medical devices, digital health or diagnostic capabilities to join this event that focuses on finding solutions for cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Discussions will focus on the following areas:
- Identification of risk-factors in populations
- Identifying new techniques to indicate an increased risk or the early onset of diabetes and cardiovascular disease
- Improving diagnostic techniques to see underlying biological processes in the body
- Wearable technologies and remote monitoring supporting personalised medicine and self-management.
There are a number of system-wide initiatives working to tackle this problem, including the Health Innovation Manchester and Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership Healthy Hearts programme. This programme has been designed to take a whole system approach to address variation in CVD health across Greater Manchester. Despite these efforts, new solutions are needed!
