Job vacancy: Project Manager
- Post: Project Manager – GM AHSN (Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network)
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
- Location: TRUSTECH/CMFT
- Accountable to: Technology Director – TRUSTECH & GM AHSN
- Hours: 37.5
- Contract: Fixed term contract for 18 months (may be opportunity for extension)
- Closing date: 5pm on Monday 13th February 2017
The post holder will be responsible for the on-going project management and development of the Innovation Nexus (IN) system; reporting on the evolution and delivery of the various workstreams and programmes and collating and interrogating the information held within the IN system and from other sources involved in the Wealth and Industry workstream of the GM AHSN programme.
GM AHSN is a collaborative network bringing together 30 NHS providers and commissioners across Greater Manchester (GM), East Lancashire, East Cheshire and four universities. Its ambition is to deliver a step-change in health outcomes and to support Greater Manchester’s strategy for growth through enabling £1bn of wealth creation over five years, supporting SMEs and helping to create a healthier population.
The GM AHSN’s Wealth and Industry workstream currently has three priority areas for GM SMEs: cardiovascular health; digital technology; and patient safety (medication error).
The Innovation Nexus aims to provide a single resource that can help companies, particularly SMEs, to understand the steps that need to be taken to support their business planning and engage with the NHS more easily, thus progressing the adoption of their innovation at a pace and with fewer unanticipated obstacles.
The Innovation Nexus and related information resources also provides an electronic means of recording both company and clinical enquiries and subsequent downstream activities and outputs relating to the Wealth and Industry workstream. The use of the IN system is having a major impact on the way in which the GM AHSN carry out business with the healthcare industry.
The post will be based full-time within TRUSTECH, which is the current provider of the Innovation Nexus service and other Wealth and Industry workstream activities for GM AHSN. The post holder will work closely from the outset with GM AHSN, building vital technical and professional links with key managers and external organisations to ensure the smooth operation and integration of the IN system.
