Liverpool CCG Research Capability Funding

National Institute for Healthcare Research (NIHR) Research Capability Funding (RCF) is a funding stream that aims to help research-active organisations, such as NHS Liverpool CCG (LCCG), attract, develop and retain high-quality research, clinical and support staff. Thus, helping NHS organisations to create and maintain a sustainable capacity for people and patient-based research.

Research brief

LCCG is committed to delivering outstanding performance in the way health and social care services are commissioned and it seeks to integrate the commissioning of services with a research evidence base, for the benefit of people within Liverpool.

Research activity must be sustainable and as such, LCCG aim to work in collaboration with academic partners to access funding through the NIHR.

The aim is to utilise the RCF to enable LCCG to lead or be a major partner in further NIHR funded projects by building collaborations with:

  • Academics and universities
  • Other NHS partners
  • Local Authorities and social care organisations
  • Third sector organisations.

Eligibility

Submissions are welcomed from applicants across the North West Coast for research in the Liverpool region.

Deadline

The 2017/18 Liverpool CCG call for research proposals is now open. Deadline for submissions is 15th June 2017.
