TRUSTECH continues support for Merseyside Innovation Awards

For the third successive year, TRUSTECH is proud to be the exclusive healthcare sponsor of the Merseyside Innovation Awards (MIA); a programme which aims to identify and support innovators from a range of sectors across the region.

The MIA celebrates new ideas from companies that fit into two categories:

  • Those with an annual turnover of up to £1 million
  • Those with an annual turnover between £1 million and £25 million.

For more than 20 years, MIA has supported small and developing organisations, providing a chance to win a £10,000 cash prize to support the business alongside the opportunity to promote innovative new products or services and professional business support.

As the exclusive healthcare sponsor, TRUSTECH is keen to encourage applications to the MIA from companies developing innovations for the health and social care sectors.

In 2015, Liverpool ChiroChem took the overall award for developing a new chemical process to enable pharmaceutical researchers to develop new drugs more efficiently and at a lower cost.

And last year, we heard from Inovus Ltd, who approached the MIA with their revolutionary surgical training simulator. Inovus are one of a number of companies listed on the MIA website, which provides a good opportunity to raise awareness of the company.

The 2017 Awards are now open for applications. Companies need to apply by no later than 30th April 2017. Full details can be found here: http://www.merseysideinnovationawards.co.uk/news/open-for-business/
