Image Enhancement Algorithm

X-ray Image Before AlgorithmThe Technology

This is an image processing algorithm that enables multiple images,
obtained with low quality imaging systems, to be improved by
comparison to an original high quality image.

The algorithm was originally developed to enable cone beam x-ray
images to be improved to such an extent that they can be
used for radiotherapy treatment planning systems.

The Features

  • Automatic detection of anatomical structures
  • Reduction of spurious brightness variations caused by
    movement, scatter or interference
  • Visibly clearer images revealing hidden detail

X-ray Image After AlgorithmThe Opportunities

The algorithm will be of interest to any company involved in the following areas of radiotherapy:

  • Cone beam CT imaging
  • Radiotherapy treatment planning
  • Image-guided radiotherapy
  • Adaptive radiotherapy

TrusTECH also believes the algorithm will be of interest to companies
or organisations involved in:

  • Satellite imaging
  • Image processing software
  • Machine vision systems
