NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are reponsible for delivering and monitoring healthcare services in their local areas.
They are responsible for around 60% of the NHS budget and the majority of secondary care services.
As such, they play an important role in adopting innovation and are often inundated with new solutions that propose to help them deliver their services better.
TRUSTECH designed and delivered Dragons' Den style programmes to enable CCGs to capture, assess and evaluate innovative products and services that have been developed by commercial sector organisations.
The programmes provide a structured, repeatable and rigorous processes, calling on NHS expertise to ensure proposed solutions are properly assessed against NHS needs. This is supported by marketing and communications campaigns to ensure a wide uptake by commercial innovators.
The reports produced following the conclusion of the programmes can enable any NHS organisation to rapidly progress innovative solutions along the health and social care commissioning and adoption pathways.
Over 220 solutions have been evaluated.
